BuildRight 2026 invites builders, designers, and industry experts to submit engaging session proposals that connect high-performance building practices with real-world market success. This year’s theme, BuildRight SellRight, focuses on how exceptional construction quality, energy efficiency, and design innovation translate into stronger sales and happier homeowners in today’s competitive housing market. BuildRight is a conference that brings together professionals all across the high-performance and remodeling industries to gain insight into current market trends, legislative issues, and business practices. Attendees will learn to utilize new technologies, strategies, and business development innovations. These new innovations can help businesses succeed in areas where others struggle, especially when it comes to high-performance building. With industry-wide involvement, from remodelers, vendors, appraisers, realtors, and builders, BuildRight has great networking opportunities. 2026 KEYNOTE SPEAKERS 

Day 1 Opening Keynote: Ben Bogie  Ben Bogie blends three generations of craftsmanship with modern building science. A third-generation high-performance builder, he grew up surrounded by innovation — his father and grandfather designed super-insulated homes long before it was mainstream. With over 20 years of hands-on experience, Ben has restored 18th-century homes, crafted custom millwork, and led award-winning low-energy builds focused on health, comfort, and durability. Named one of Professional Remodeler’s “40 Under 40,” he’s now a respected speaker and educator featured in Fine Homebuilding and Green Building Advisor. At BPC, Ben pairs curiosity with precision to create homes that perform as beautifully as they look. 

Day 2 Opening Keynote: Steve McKanna Steve McKanna is a seasoned mortgage professional with over 20 years of experience. He attended the University of Washington, where he majored in Economics and played lacrosse for 3 seasons and football for one season. Over the past 15 years, he has brought his wealth of experience to the role of National Sales Trainer for multiple companies. In the last 36 months, he created The Home Building Energy Efficiency Academy, addressing the gap between energy code adoption and builders receiving due credit for constructing more energy-efficient homes. He currently serves on multiple committees within the National Association of Home Builders. Residing in Washington state with his wife of 20+ years and their five children, Steve’s commitment extends beyond his career. Actively engaged in their church and community, he finds joy in coaching the basketball and soccer teams of his three daughters and two sons. True to his Pacific Northwest roots, Steve enjoys skiing, camping, hiking, golfing, and all water sports.
